Five Stars love it. "Doesn't get very in depth." according to Stephanie Phelps. I purchased this book for my homeschooled kindergartener and first grader. It has very basic concepts which was ok for kindergartener but not nearly advanced enough for my first grader. It does contain questions and reviews through out the units. It has pictures and illustrations that can hold your child's attention. I would recommend this for a kindergarten level or a first grade level if you are looking to touch on concepts with out going into depth.. We live Together judy broadway excellent social studies book for a second grader. 2nd graders should know their own country before exploring others in depth and this book does a good job at American history. It's easy enough for them to read and understand by themselves. Has questions to answer and explore their knowledge.
