I've read many of his other books and found them to be very satisfying. However, 'The Fallen Angels' and 'A Crowning Mercy' are co-authored with Susannah Kells, Bernard's wife. Therefore, the. joan r. abbey said Adequate entertainment. Greatly enjoy this writer. Read this as nothing new was available. I generally don't go in for romantic historical fiction. His actual writing is well done, but, the story was nothing new, clever or really deeply absorbing to me.. "A keeper for your shelf" according to mkupmvn.
