Had a lot of good information on keeping chickens but the author seem to focus a lot on breeding, raising chicks, more large scale "chicken farming" than the title will lead you to believe. For me backyard chickens will be a total of 3 hens for laying eggs and for manure in the . "Really informative and down to earth." according to Theresa. I enjoyed this book immensely. I loved reading how the author did things with his flock. I found this book to be quite refreshing. I was impressed by the knowledge and straightforward way the author tells us to do what makes sense for our flocks. Great read!
