While I respect the motivation, the book itself is no more than a puffed-up essay -- 49 pages of text, with about 175 words per page = about 9 typewritten pages.That would be ok if there was great wisdom in the words. Or some diagrams. Or quick references. I wish I would have read the bad reviews. This book was awful. My husband is a wrestling coach and knows what to expect out of a beginner's guide. Definitions of basic plays would have been nice. Diagrams of the plays would have helped. Clip art showing the ref signals would have made it clearer. It was just poorly written text. Hubby made his point when he tossed the book in the kitchen trash the next day!. 6th!. I wish I would have read the bad reviews. This book was awful. Disappointed I was hoping for more information regarding infractions. While the descriptions of the ref's hand signals help somewhat, the author does not adequately explain the infraction. What constitutes obstruction? "Illegal" high tackle, etc. I was hoping for more info.
