Great reading street book!
Anyn said Three Stars. Some nice supplemental readings and engaging format.. "Recommended by teachers" according to Karen Donovan. Other teachers in my online reading classes recommended this series. It's well written and the text passages are interesting, but there aren't many in each workbook. We like the idea that the students should pretend they are detectives looking for clues. We don't use a reading series anymore so we need lots of materials to teach close reading. These help, but we need more. I gave the second grade teachers the first grade book to use. It was difficult for our students who are just learning to read.. LinG said Five Stars. Engaging stories and meaningful questions.
