An aid for kayakers chw This is an overall good reference guide to locations to access bodies of water. The locations are described in detail with maps and GPS coordinates. It is a good aid to plan your paddle trips. The only challenge I had being new to kayaking was matching the Table of Content formal designations with local references.. PA Gazeteer Map references are incorrect. Good resource book, but, it appears that at least some of the map numbers she lists for each lake, with reference to the Pennsylvania Atlas and Gazeteer (Delorme), are incorrect. For example, she lists Lake Galena, near Doylestown, to be map #82 in the Penna. Gazeteer. It's actually on map #72. Same with Lake Nockamixon. She lists Memorial Lake State Park near Indiantown Gap as being on Gazeteer Map No. 79. It's not. It's actually on map #69. Same with Caledonia. She says Map 91, it's actually Map 81. I have the 2010 edition of Quiet Water, and am referring to the 2009 edition of the Gazeteer. I haven't c. Useful, Practical Guide to Kayaking Locations in New Jersey. Excellent guide with description of surroundings, paddling experience, and exact (gps coord if you want them) locations for launching kayak in flat water lakes, rivers, and canals of NJ. Organized as points on a map by regions of the state. Sounds like author has visited each of more than 70 different locations to describe them in detail.
