This book assumes the worst of the Catholic Church in all eras--never mind real historical events. Save your money. If you want real church history, try The Catholic Church, the First 2000 Years: A Popular Survey and Study Guide to Church History. It will give both good and bad in an accurate fashion. Never have I seen a more concise and clear history of the church ever. Even though the focus of this book is the history of the Roman Catholic Church, I recommend it to all Christians as it teaches a very easy to read walk through of history of the church.
