The atmosphere is dreamlike and brooding.I haven't read the author before but I thoroughly enjoyed this. Loved the setting, a darker more sinister Paris.. I just finished reading Paris Nocturne, the latest book from Nobel-Prize winning author, Patrick Modiano.Due to its short length, I erroneously anticipated it to be an easy read. It's anything but that. From the blurb on the back, I was expecting a mystery (especially how it said that the reader will "be searching for the crime" itself), so I found myself noting
