Worse than useless, this book is embarrassing. Bill Anderson Like another reviewer here, I have started writing Nginx modules and upon seeing this title was eager to see it described in a simple and useful format. I was worse than disappointed. In my opinion a review should start with any statement about what the book is for and who it is aimed at. So, let us examine what the intention of the book is in it's own words:"This book is for advanced users such as system ad. Covers the basic stuff that is already available online I contacted the publisher because they were looking for reviewers on Twitter.First of all, this book contains just around 100 pages. You cannot fit a lot in that space, especially when you are trying to cover a complex thing like Nginx Module Extension. The first 1Covers the basic stuff that is already available online Aapo Talvensaari I contacted the publisher because they were looking for reviewers on Twitter.First of all, this book contains just around 100 pages. I've got the impression that it is just a simple concatenation of the public manual pages for NGINX and its components over the web. And yes, the author did some edits, but the result isnot far from a simple concatenation. I was hoping to see the author's own thoughts, experiments, analyzing tools, and findings, but I fail to see any highlights. Just as dull and boring
