Even entertaining for parents to read Cute guide for kids with basic pictures and enough information to even make it interesting for me as a parent to read. Good starting point.. Joseph R. Zaientz said my dog. bought it for my grandchild-seems ok. lkh67 said A must buy if you're considering a dog or just got a dog!. I was VERY reluctant to get a dog for my five year old daughter. I heard about this book as a great tool but didn't purchase it until we brought the dog home. In hindsight, the book would have been great before the dog came home as I hadn't owned a dog before (had one in childhood, but hadn't owned one in adulthood). I think the book was as helpful for me as for my daughter. It's easy to read and very informative! LOVED TH
