Hazelhawk, Winnetka IL said Good short story. Well written, interesting plot, good developments of characters, no fluff, strong vocabulary, no red herrings, classic short story format and length.. "This book is really short, which I didn't figure" according to Dennis L. Nord. This book is really short, which I didn't figure out until I got to the end really quickly as an ebook. It's not immediately obvious.. "Short story from earlier times. Good read." according to Amazon Customer. Figured out the plot before the end. Fun Read though. MacDonald books are old time detective stories for the most part.
