Fun, fresh space romance with likeable H/h and humor. Georgette W. Ankari Markovich and her two associates, a microbiologist and an engineer, are on a distant planet digging for fossilized alien "microbiota" (natural intestinal bacteria) that may have incredible healing properties. It's Ankari's latest business venture, one she hopes will lead to a prosperous future. But they are ambushed and captured by a gang of mercenaries bent on collecting the lucrative bounty on the women's heads. This comes as a shock to the women,. I quite enjoyed this story I quite enjoyed this story. Space opera is one of my favorites and this one kept me very entertained. It had constant action, a bit of romance, lots of really bad guys vs less but much better good guys, space ships, of course, really inventive and strong female prisoners (??) who were ever so much more than the poor males imagined (just weak little women - ha!), some laughs, some gasps, some UGHs, it just had a little bit of everything.
