I read the Matt Helm books when they first came out in paperback. I had a complete collection but, over time, the paperbacks fell apart. Now that the series is being published as eBooks, I can restore my collection. Helm is more believable than Bond and Donald Hamilton can tell a story with the best. I recommend the books but not the movies. although, if they had played the stories straight, Dean Martin would have been a good Helm.
