This volume features many excellent color pictures of Mark and his guitars, a very interesting interview in which he discusses the advantages of being a lefty that plays right-handed (among other topics), and of course note-for-note transcriptions of some great (mostly earlier Dire Straits) Knopfler songs. These transcriptions are definitely the best available, but because they are very accurate remember that they a. Real music scores This book is for the intermediate to advanced guitarist. This is so very much more complete and accurate than the typical guitar/vocals/piano chord book. For instance, "Sultan's of Swing" has all 3 guitar parts. I have been working on the lead part for many, many months. It is absolutely accurate. It is so much fun and so very rewarding to play the guitar parts correctly as found in this book. Each score has so much to offer the guitarist who is willing to put forth the effort to get it right. My advice would be for one to really take his ti. Cook said Knopfler is not easily learned.
