DESCRIPTION:

While I was writing it, the whole Twinkie crisis happened and I feared I was going to have to remove the Twinkies from the stories, but then I remembered having read that Twinkies have something like an 80 year shelf life, so I kept them in, assuming Jorge found someone's stash to buy! . From the Author Having grown up in the sixties, this book was lots of fun to research

. She also spends a lot of time with her delightful grandbabies.  Arlene is working on the next Harriet Truman/Loose Threads mystery and also has plans for a book of patterns taken from the books. Arlene is a quilter, knitter and gym rat when she isn't writing

The denizens of the town decide that a colorful 1960s-themed festival is just the event to bring people out and get them moving and, hopefully, spending their money in the community.Clad in bellbottom jeans, granny dresses and afro wigs, the Loose Threads quilt group is excited to participate in the associated quilt display. Reluctantly, she agrees to display and talk about her quilt.A costumed participant is shot in front of Jenny’s quilt. All, that is, except Jenny Logan, the only member who has an authentic quilt from that era. Coincidence? Or is the quilt’s past endangering its owner’s future?

"Also has a wonderfully supportive group of friends" according to Sharyn. Once again you have the pleasure of relating to a woman in her mature years, she made me laugh out loud when referring to her "womanly figure", we can all definitely relate to that. Also has a wonderfully supportive group of friends, including one that is a bit of a "character", looks like another must read series.. Harriet Truman/Loose Threads Mysteries The Loose Threads Mysteries are right up my alley! They have suspense, action, good characters, and Arlene has written a collection of books involving these same characters. I really like getting to know the characters and following them through more than one well written book. I look forward to the next Loose Threads Mystery! If you love mysteries and or q. P. Batton said Another good chapter in this series. I have read all of the books in this series and have found the characters likeable and the story lines interesting. The underlying thread (no pun intended) of quilting doesn't hurt either if you're into that art form. This current offering leaves some of the characters with serious decisions to make and I'll definitely purchase the next book to see how that
