He is not able to read them by himself yet, but he is able to memorize all the names. He not only recognizes the pictures, but he can name each creature when we go to our local aquarium to see the real ones.The stickers are just illustrations, but they are detailed, nonetheless. This book includes t. J. Earley said Not worth it. I bought these as party favors for my son's birthday. You get square stickers of various sea creatures that the kids stick on each corresponding page above a little factual paragraph about the animal. The kids thought they were really neat when they first looked at them, but once they stuck the stickers on they tossed them aside and that was it. A bit of a waste.. Nice book I love the Dover Little Activity Books series. These books are the perfect size for small children and they learn so much from them! This book has descriptions of sea animals and the child must match the sticker with the description on each page.
