Amazon Customer I have personally tried to read "Guns, Germs, and Steel" before, for personal development and for a school assignment (different occasions). But both times I was unable to finish, which is unusual for me. While the subject material is intriguing, and the author's voice is captivating, the book reads much more like a textbook than I would like.
