It is a terrific series, right up there with the Jessie Stone (William Parker), Harry Bosch (Michael Connelly) and Joe Picket (C. J. Box). If you like lawyer/courtroom or police procedurals or regular guy heroics or the twists and turns of a good mystery, then you’ll like Scott Pratt’s Joe Dillard series. He’s go. that I have read. Can't wait for #4 MK McC I am hooked on the Joe Dillard series. Scott Pratt is a terrific writer and anyone looking for a novel in the vein of John Grisham will not be disappointed. But Pratt's Dillard books are much more than the usual lawyer/legal stories. The sophisticated bounds of courtrooms are leavened by down-home descriptions of Tennessee, which immerse the reader in the settings. His main character is conflicted and very human, showing a temper w. Compassion Unleashed Frank This is by far the best of Scott's writing so far. I've said before that I really enjoy his writing style. It just flows beautifully. I had to laugh at myself as I finished this one with a few tears in my eyes and saying to myself, "Yep! That's the way you like your stories to end, ".and they lived happily ever after." Of course everyone didn't live happily ever after but he wrote about the characters in such a compassionate way th
