Totally enjoyable Queenie I bought this as a kindle special and did not expect much. I was pleasantly surprised by how well-written and well-thought-out this book proved to be. I am a lover of historical mysteries and thought this one was engaging and diverting. I understand the inherent problem of having the romantic leads be from such totally different and exclusive worlds but if you can suspend disbelief on that point the rest of the book is terrific. I have gone on to read the next two and thought each book was better than the one before. I am surprised that these have not caught on with more people. I am reviewing this in hopes of encourag. "Aristocratic British Lady meets Lowly and Handsome Detective in Old London" according to Dolores B. Johnston. A story that takes place in London and surrounding areas when class division was the rule, with NO exceptions. The sexual tension between the lowly detective and the aristocratic lady is wonderful and keeps the reader on edge. A fun, suspenseful read.
