DESCRIPTION:
Reflecting the author's extensive practical experience in industry, the Heat Exchanger Design Handbook discusses standard construction, thermo-hydraulic fundamentals and thermal design of Hes--tubular, extended surface, plate, and both rotary matrix and fixed regenerators explains algorithms and subalgorithms derived from heat transfer and geometry optimization modules showcases the tremendous recent advances in plate exchanger designs--brazed-plate, flow-flex tubular, wide gap, twin plate, double wall, graphite, and welded--and associated improvements addresses global and national standards and codes analyzes flow-induced vibration and mechanical design of shell-and-tube Hes explores a wide spectrum of materials for HEs, corrosion behavior, and optimum fabrication methods illustrates techniques for fabrication of shell
Very Practical and Strongly Recommended This book is for the practicing engineer. Has comprehensive information to allow the specification of heat exchangers and review of vendor bids. I'm very impressed with this book and the wealth of information contained in it. All to often I find engineering books with only theory used for the classroom but has no worth for practicing engineers. This book is worth every penny. Strongly recommend purchasing to the engineer in industry.. "Heat Exchanger Design Handbook" according to Robert W. Fuller. I have been engrossed with this book for a month now and still am getting information from it. It is excellent.
Kuppan. The book addresses to the need of both academics (UG and PG level) and practitioners. ---Prof. The author has done his best to bring out the Handbook for ready reference with formulae, data and with good illustrations. T. Krishna Sastri, Ph.D.(Delaware), Fellow ASME, Fellow INAE, Fellow Alexander von Humboldt, Emeritus Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai, INDIA . The chapter of Heat Exchanger Thermohydraulic Fundamentals will be a very useful reference for teachers of this subject. Subramanyam, Ph.D., Former Vice-Chancellor, Bharathiar University,Coimbagtore, INDIA The Heat Exchanger Design Handbook is a valuable addition to the thermal engineering literature. M. Besides basic concepts and thermal design of heat exchangers, inclusion of topics such as mechanical design, materials selection, fabrication, quality control and te
