Just when Darcy and Elizabeth's relationship begins to blossom, danger threatens. Now on the path to matrimony, a new adversary creates a seemingly impossible choice, testing the strength of their bonds.. On advice from her aunt, she agrees to give the gentleman a second chance at making a first impression. A Pride and Prejudice Variation When Elizabeth Bennet is sent to London to stay with her relatives, Fitzwilliam Darcy is the last person she expects or wants to see. Action, intended to separate them, instead provokes declarations of love. Fitzwilliam Darcy never expected to find Elizabeth Bennet in town, and when he does, he is equally surprised to discover she heard his slighting remark at the assembly
While writing has been an activity she has dabbled in over the years, it blossomed into a full-fledged obsession when she stumbled upon the world of Jane Austen Fan Fiction. Super Lizzy J Bennett I debated between 3 and 4 stars. I enjoyed the witty banter that is scattered throughout this book, but find characterizing Lizzy as a super hoydenish hero was a bit much. Who needed Col. Fitzwilliam or Darcy in capturing Wickham when Lizzy was perfectly capable on her own not once, but twice! It seems the only thing that could cause Our hero Lizzy to faint was the sight of her own blood! Darcy comes off as a wimp compared to Lizzy. Enjoyable read for the most part, but our favorite characters are unrecognizable ex. Can't really recommend. tachi1 While moderately entertaining, the overall quality is rather weak. The language and dialogue are closer to the 21st century than to the 19th, ditto for the subjects of some conversations. The relationships between the characters is rather sophomoric: the guys and the girls stick together to make "plans" against the opposite camp. Problems or dangers, when they arise, are swiftly dealt with and resolved. There is no suspense in the relationships and everyone neatly pairs off in a spate of witty repartee. Worst of all. Don't bother Sarah Winslow Cannot express how disappointed I was with this book after choosing it based on the number of stars it had been given. It started out with much promise - I thoroughly enjoyed the repartee between Darcy and his cousin, the Colonel, in the first 1/4 of the book. But it was straight downhill from there. The characters were only barely - if at all - true to the original in their thoughts and actions. It read like more of an outline then a full-fledged book. And the pairing up of all the characters was just silly. If you
Today, she fits, or is that squeezes, reading in around caring for her family of two fabulous (most of the time) teenage boys and one sweet and thoughtful husband while working full time as a junior-high teacher. While writing has been an activity she has dabbled in over the years, it blossomed into a full-fledged obsession when she stumbled upon the world of Jane Austen Fan Fiction. And now, she spends much time in the regency world playing with the characters from her favourite Jane Austen novels and a few that are of her own creation. When she is not traipsing down a trail in an attempt to keep up with her imagination, she resides in the beautiful province of Nova Scotia. In addition to feeding her imagination, she also exercises it -- by writing. As the second born of five sisters, just like Elizabeth Bennet, her imagination was soon ca
