Loved this ride! Had me smiling with SATISFACTION at the end! This book begins and ends with carrot cake. I love that.This is the second book in this series that I've read (They can all be read stand alone) and I've noticed something important about the way this author writes New Adult books. Her books always deal with strong issues. These are the hard things that new adults face and are so much more than sexy times between college classes. I. reat romantic tension/banter and deals well with tough issues. Was so excited when I got the ARC email because I adore Trisha, and I thoroughly enjoyed the first two companion novels of the Living Heartwood series. My heart went out to Arian. She has low self esteem but feels such pressure from her parents to look, act and portray herself in a certain way.
