"Essential overview" according to Amazon Customer. I've been out of school for not-telling-how-many years, and last year took (college)freshman Biology, Anatomy, and Physiology, with applicable basic Chemistry, and I wished I'd had a good review of biology and chemistry first. Now my daughter is taking these classes, so I bought this to help her. I've checked over several other guides - the "Demystified" series and "Barron's" specifically - and felt they were too in-depth (who has time for another course while taking courses?) and also somewhat confusing. This book is simply succinct. Jake said Great summary and pleasant reading. I am a retired engineer and find this guide a great review of the basic tenets of physics, biology and chemistry. I would recommend to every student of any of these disciplines, keep in her back pocket especially when there is no internet connection.. Quibie said reference only.
