Pat Sahlin said Wonderful old children's book. I bought this to replace a lost copy of Johnny Gruelle's rare book that we had owned since the original publication over 80 years ago. For its age, the copy was actually in good condition. Gruelle's illustrations are priceless, as always. He was one of the all time greats, but his Raggedy Ann and Andy books are best known.I feel extremely lucky to have found this old copy of Eddie Elephant.. Dissapointed I purchased this book as a gift for my father in-law because it was one of his favorites from childhood. I was pretty disappointed once I received it. There were at least three pages missing that I could tell, having never read the story myself. I understand that it's an extremely old book but, it would've been nice to have known that before buying it.. Eddie Elephant Ready Reader This is a classic and very old book in great condition. I remember it from when my grandmother told me the story when I was a little girl and could never find it until now.
