DESCRIPTION:
With a new darkness rising in the kingdoms, he must now use his power to avert the subjugation of all mankind and protect the people he cares about. As one of the few remaining death mages, Jaxom has spent his life ridiculed and feared by people and mages alike. With the ability to control death itself, the magic of his school was once used to avert the destruction of life, and it is up to him to do it again. Gathering skilled people to his side, he seeks out the source of this evil before it’s too late.
More fun than the last four books I attempted to read. This was fun. A decent length, an energetic MC, and honestly some variation from the blacksmith farmer trope, although it does follow the raised with royalty trope :p regardless it's nice to see a death mage who isn't vilified. The Mc may not be as witty or snarky as many protagonists are these days, but I'm fine with that. He's fairly simple, a young man with some wit, a determination to see things through not caring what others' opinions of him are despite the obstacles or pe. Ash Young said Lord of Death. Upon reading this I could tell the author put a lot of thought into he world. The idea of a death mAge that was not evil to the core was something I wouldn't expect to see, usually they would be the villain. I can't wait to see how the mc grows in power. My only problem was the forced relationship it was very unbelievable in the beginning but I grew to look past it still I would have loved for multiple love interest maybe one could have been a mAge but other then that Lord of Death Ash Young Upon reading this I could tell the author put a lot of thought into he world. Michael J. Scott nice, i always love finding a new author that i like. this was kinda refreshing in a way. the MC isnt whinny, or scared all the time. he tries to figure out the best ways to use his power even though he is untrained. he doesnt let people walk all over him. just someone that i really liked.some nice action scenes also. i will be looking for the next book.
