Mr. Simon obviously loves the genre of fantasy, but he sees it with clear eyes, and is not above skewering some of the sillier aspects of the field - as in 'Gwladys and the Ghraem'lan', which pokes fun at the apparently insatiable urge that fantasy authors have to inflict unpron. "Five Stars" according to Steven Tinel. Simon's essays are insightful, well-written, clear, and convincing.
