Hard Boiled Ninja Epic So far my favorite mystery novel of the 2000s has been Inherent Vice by Thomas Pynchon That was about a psychedelic detective trying to find a LSD Real estate Mogul though his hoards of Aryan Brotherhood biker goons while solving the riddle of Golden Fang the heroin smuggl. "Kurosawa Meets Raymond Chandler" according to Leverett Butts. Next to Parsival, this is the best novel by Monaco. I'm so thrilled to have a new novel by one of the nation's best writers. Can't wait for Volume 2!
