Get My Horse will ya! Oh My Goodness! I love reading Blackies Books, but this one has about done me in. I generally use his books kinda like the old Sears and Roebuck catalogs only don't tear the pages out if you get my drift. But Blazin' Bloats and Cows on Fire has about give me another heart attack laughing so hard. With fifty some odd years behind a tarnished belt buckle, I swear he's had so. Blazin' Bloats & Cows on Fire! Jay Keeler Straight shooting Baxter Black, enjoyed collection of poems. Would recomend.. Baxter Black Review 2 This book was also a gift to my son in-law. I have not personnally read the book but he LOVES it. Actually loves this author and can't get enough of him.
How many different ways can a cowboy or rancher or farmer or veterinarian get bucked off, bit, stomped, run over, butted, stepped on, spit on, pooped on, gored, pummeled, pounded, dragged, snagged, flogged, bogged, plowed down, kicked up, pitched off, bowled over, punched out, scraped, lacerated, lamed, lumped, bumped, flattened, rolled, hammered, humped and humiliated? The answer: Apparently more than the number of stars in the sky! How I wound up making a living entertaining the agricultural masses is still a mystery to me. Many thanks once again, to the Bucarangelos; Buckaroo/Michelangelos, whose illustrations make my book eminently more enjoyable.
