"Pretty impressive for a self-published debut" according to Alex. It's a pretty straightforward premise, but it delivers exactly what it promises. There are a lot of fight scenes without resorting to repetitiveness, there's some interesting magic stuff going on, and you're definitely rooting for the hero. It's not the most amazing story, but the ending
