DESCRIPTION:
"Oldy but a Goody" according to Tim Rohde. This book covers a number of practical areas of arithmetic in a VERY accessible way. Particularly useful were the section covering issues around precision and rounding errors, compound and prime numbers, logarithms, fractions and numbers in series. The reading level is appropriate for junior high (with a good grasp of reading skills) or higher. This also happens to be one of. "a classic for your mathematics library" according to Jonathan H.. "For The Practical Man" series is how Richard Feynman learned mathematics! It looks like it served him pretty well in pursuit of two Nobel prizes. Nice clear classic text, old-school style. A beauty.. "Great Little book!" according to Dan. I love math books in general, this one is great for beginner future math wizs. I really recommend getting this great book
