Know Thy Audience Halfway through reading this book, it became clear that A Homemade Christmas does not belong in the category of design-conscious crafting. These are simple, simple projects, most of which I've read before in other books and mainstream magazines. Such examples include: making a collage card, putting votive candles on your mantel, making a Christmas stocking, hosting a cookie exchange, baking banana bread, giving away vegetable seeds and making a music CD.At best, this is definitely for those new to the idea of homemade projects. But it will probably be sim. "Not worth the money" according to Soaping Diva. I love Christmas and my collection of Christmas bookes is ever growing. This one does not make the collection. The book is cheap to begin with, poor black and white illustrations or some in red and green. No new ideas, everything in here is already in a book I own or I have found on the internet for free. A fair amount of the book is just lists of ideas for things to do for Christmas, such as party decorations, presents that children can make, suggestions for party food, and so on.
