Very Helpful Study Guide My daughter is a good writer and good at standardized tests, so she used this book mostly for help with the essays a month before the exam rather than as a long-term study aide. She liked the range of sample essays because the authors explained why one example was worthy of an 8 or 9 and another was not as strong. She liked the way it went through strategies for how to organize the essays and explained exactly what the readers were looking for and why. She took the test yesterday and thought it went very well. Update: she got a 5 on the AP exa. C. Colby said Good help for studying. The book clearly explains criteria for the test, and provides challenging practice questions and writing prompts. This is a great study book.. "Only Okay" according to Justin Silva. This book will only sort of help you. Your course work in your English class will be of much greater use to you. Don't rely on this book to get a five. Use it as a supplement to your course work for extra practice. Great for essay prompts and multiple choice practice.
